The End

In the end
the angels always jump off the cliff
that's why they were given wings
In between heaven and hell
there is paradise
the place where people like you and me
learn how to believe in love

A place where She wraps her
wide arms around our feet
where we see the secrets of our souls
written on the faces of strangers
where earthly delights only taunt our weeping hearts
and soon we turn our backs on the moon.

Tell me of your secrets
---of your dreaming
The places where you sit
playing in the grass
My children come in
the darkness of night
Covering my inner fears
Raising the stakes
But now my angels leave me
in desolation....

Perhaps they've already jumped
